Kujolpan-Nine Section Appetizers

What is Kujolpan?
Kujolpan is a Korean Royal court cuisine which is prepared by putting nine kinds of colorful food in a wooden bowl divided into nine sections. If you do not have wooden bowl, you can use plate instead of a bowl serving Kujolpan.
How to eat?
You eat ingredients wrapping them in a peace of radish skin dipping it in sauce.
I use radish instead of pancake in center part.
Korean people serve it on happy occasions. It looks pretty good and tidy!
ingredients(Serves 4)
- Daikon (center)
- Slice Daikon very thin and salt it brine until they are soften.
- Drain brine off daikon, wiped with paper towel.
- 1/4 Japanese / Korean radish : Daikon
- salt, waeter
- Montain Vegitable:kosari
- You can buy soaked and cooked “kosari” at a Korean grocery store. Prepare about 2 or 3 cups of kosari for this 4 servings of bibimbap. Cut them 5-7 cm in length and sauté it in a heated pan with 1 ts of sesami oil. Stir it and add all seasoning above.
- 3-4 Shiitake mashrroom
- 1 tbsp. soy sauce
- 1 tbsp. sugar
- 1 tbsp. gochujang *you can buy in Korean Grocery Store
- 1 tbsp. sesame oil
- white sesami, grated garlic
- Shiitake Mashroom
- Slice mushrooms into thin strips and fry them in sesame oil, and season them with soy sauce, sugar and toasted sesame.
- 3-4 Shiitake mashrroom
- 1 ts. soy sauce
- 1 tbsp. sugar
- 1 tbsp. sesame oil
- white sesami, grated garlic
- Cucumber
- Slice cucumbers into thin strops and fry them in sesame oil, and flavor them with salt, pepper and toasted sesame.

- Peppers
- Slice peppers into thin strips after removing the seeds, boil and season them with sesame oil, salt, pepper and toasted sesame.
- 1 each bell peppers (Green, Red, Yellow)
- A little sesame oil, salt, pepper, toasted sesame
- Radish
- Slice Daikon into thin strips after removing the seeds, boil and season them with sesame oil, salt, pepper and toasted sesame.
- 1 inch Daikon
- A little sesame oil, salt, pepper, toasted sesame
- Carrot
- Slice carrot into thin strips after removing the seeds, boil and season them with sesame oil, salt, pepper and toasted sesame.
- 1/2 carrot
- A little sesame oil, salt, pepper, toasted sesame
- Sauce
- Mix the ingredients. This is the dip sauce.
- 3 tbsp. soy sauce
- 1 tbsp. minced green onion
- 1 tbsp. toasted sesame
- 1~1/2 tbsp. vinegar
- A little lemon juice

Looks yummy, very palatable. Will have to try see if I can make one or better yet, try my luck at the first Korean resto I could find around here.
